Doing another throwback, but this time it is a handmade illustrated children’s book (although there are a few lines about smoking and beer!). After looking through it again, it makes me want to redo it digitally. I’d like to clean it up and even rewrite it a bit. It’d bee fun to add some more characters too. Anyway, here’s the text inside:
Ever wonder where monsters go when you’re all grown up and too old to scare? Where do they go? Are they in your closet? Are they under your chair?
Where do they go? Well, don’t you wanna know?
Do they get sad and start to unravel? Maybe some just leave for vacation and travel!
Do they get into mischief with tricks up their sleeves? Maybe they get sticky fingers and turn into thieves!
Do some face their fears and take chance? Maybe some conquer their stage fright in their underpants!
What if they don’t travel, steal or conquer a fear? Maybe they’re just little lushes who drink lots and lots of beer!
Maybe they don’t do anything at all just yet and just do everyday things like walk their pets and smoke cigarettes!
But … perhaps they haven’t gone anywhere and have stayed instead. And maybe you’ll still find them in your room waiting to frighten you under your bed.

"The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep, loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen."
Loneliness is almost cured when you open a book.
